The design for SITA’s AGM stemmed
from a briefing by the producer, Eddie Lee. The event
was held over two days, with a “Mini-Summit”
meeting on the opening day, and the AGM the following
day. The requirements were to light the 3 presentation
areas and enhance the set, which would change between
the two events.
The set was designed by Terry Brown
and the production manger was Howard Duckworth. The
set featured two gauze panels behind the two main presentation
areas allowed to me use both front and backlight from
the floor. Terry had also designed 6 internally lit
columns, and by setting the screen forward of the set,
gave me the space to uplight under the screen, without
washing out images on the screen.
Their were no hanging positions available
in the venue so front light came from 2 x heavy duty
manfrotto wind-up stands. Back light on the presentation
areas came from Par 16s positioned on top of the light
columns.
The change of looks between the
two days were delivered through a change of logos and
images on the set, and a change of gobos and colours
and re-positioning of lights. |
